Opener Festival Gdynia 2019

Opener Festival Gdynia 2019

The Opener Festival 2019 in Gdynia, Poland is fast becoming one of the best music festivals held in Europe.

The festival has been held in Gdynia since 2003 (the inaugural event was held in Warsaw the year before). Gdynia is a northern coastal town only a short drive from Gdansk international airport making it very accessible for foreigners.

Gdynia forms part of the Tri City area which comprises the cities of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. Transport between the three cities are excellent and each city offers plenty of things to do for the curious traveller who fancies seeing a part of Poland other than the extremely popular tourist magnet otherwise known as Krakow !

The area is very popular with Poles who flock to the seaside during the warmer months. This also makes Gdynia and the surrounding areas a great location for festival goers as there are plenty of hotels, hostels and guest rooms available.

The Opener Festival 2019 is being held from the 3rd to the 6th July at the Gdynia-Kosakowa airport just outside of the city centre.

The festival attracts over 50,000 music lovers and fans can expect top drawer artists each year. This year the Opener Festival 2019 boasts the following line up.

Travis Scott
The Strokes
The Smashing Pumpkins
Lana Del Rey
Swedish House Mafia
Anna Calvi
Death Grips
Jorja Smith
The 1975
Vampire Weekend…. plus many more.

Organisers usually have a policy of not allowing drinks anywhere near the stages so don’t be disappointed to find a drinks exclusion zone the closer you get to one of the stages

They also time the sets to avoid clashes allowing fans to hear all their favourite artists without having to make any sacrifices.

You’re probably wondering how much are tickets to the Opener Festival for 2019. They’re pretty reasonable actually with a four day ticket to the music festival costing approximately £ 120 but there are a selection of various price bands.
